19 students hurt as school bus falls into gorge

UDHAMPUR, Oct 11:  At least 19 students of Bharatiya Vidhya Mandir, School Nainsoo in Udhampur were injured when a School bus rolled down into a gorge near T- Morh in Udhampur today.

Reports said the mishap took place when the school bus bearing Registration Number JK14C-6047 was on its way from school to the respective residences of the children to drop them after closure of school.
When the vehicle reached at T- Morh, the driver lost control over it and the bus rolled down into gorge. The locals of the area and police party rushed to the spot and rescued the children and removed them to District Hospital, Udhampur. SHO Udhampur, Inspector Raghubir Singh with police team also arried there and joined operation.
The injured were identified as Manvi (14), daughter of Om Dutt of Udhampur; Tarun Sharma (16), son of Birmapul; Narka Thakur (9), daughter of Kunal Singh of Billan Bowli; Guzab Sharma, son of Dev Raj of Udhampur; Aroshi (17), daughter of Lekh Raj of Jakhani; Amit (9), son of Pankaj Singh of Dak Banglow; Parul Sharma (13), son of Subash Chander of Ranhi; Saksham (15), son of Balbinder of PTC; Jai Sharma (11), son of Rakesh Sharma of Gole Market; Ankit Sharma (13), son of Banarsi Lal of Krimchi; Sulaksh Sharma (10), daughter of Yog Raj from Chakad; Niharika Thakur (9), daughter of Kamal Singh of Omara Morh; Nidhika (8), daughter of Kamal Singh of Omarah Morh; Arav (10), son of Arun Sharma of Main Bazar Udhampur; Sharika Sharma (12), daughter of Akhil Sharma of Jakhani; Vinayak Sharma, son of Bikrant of Udhampur; Eklavya Sharma (14), son of Akhil Sharma of Jakhani; Yuraj Singh (5), son of Kamal Singh of Omarah Morh and Arushi (15), daughter of Lekh Raj of Jakhani.
The police has registered a case in this connection.
