To discuss various issues with Sangh functionaries

JAMMU, Oct 13: The Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Dr. Mohan Rao Bhagwat arrived here this evening on a three-day hectic visit to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Local leaders of RSS led by Prant Prachark, Rupesh Kumar received the Sarsanghchalak at Jammu Airport. After landing at Jammu Airport, Dr Bhagwat straightway drove towards Keshav Bhawan at Ambphalla where he will be staying during his Jammu visit and also hold meetings with Sangh functionaries.
During his three-day stay at Jammu, Dr Bhagwat will discuss various issues with the top leadership of J&K RSS in various meetings. The discussion on the expansion of Sangh working in the UT will also be held threadbare during his three days stay here.
On Saturday morning, Dr Mohan Bhagwat will address meeting of RSS workers at Jammu to get first-hand information about the centenary celebrations of the RSS falling in the year 2025.
Sources said tomorrow mornings coordination meeting with Swayamsevaks representing various offshoot organisations of Sangh, the J&K BJP leaders including Union Minister in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, BJP president Ravinder Raina and party general secretary (Org) Ashok Koul are likely to participate.
Swayamsevaks from Kishtwar, Rajouri, Udhampur, Reasi, Poonch and Jammu Mahanagar will participate in this meeting in which threadbare discussions will be held on prevailing situation in J&K as well as Ladakh UTs.
On Sunday, Dr Bhagwat will address a meeting of various oranizations of the Sangh Parivar here. The Sarsanghchalak will get feedback about various projects initiated by the RSS in the Union Territory of J&K in the fields of village development, service (Sewa), public awareness, health, ecology, water conservation, social equality, education, etc.
He will also review the working of the offshoot organisations of Sangh including VHP, Bajrang Dal, Sewa Bharti, Samaskar Bharti, Vidya Bharti, Shiksha Bharti etc. The representatives of these organisations will meet Dr Bhagwat one to one during the morning of October 15, sources said.
Later in the afternoon of October 15, the Sarsanghchalak will address a gathering of Swayamsevaks in full dress at Kathua Stadium in which Swayamsevaks from Kathua, Samba, Basholi and Billawar as well as RSS senior functionaries from UT will participate. Sources said Dr Jitendra Singh who represents the Kathua -Doda Parliamentary constituency will also be accompanying the RSS chief during his visit to Kathua.
The Sarsangchalak will pay floral tributes at the statue of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee at Kathua. Later Dr Bhagwat will unveil statue of Bharat Mata at Jakhbar village of Kathua and interact with villagers also. Later he will leave for Union Capital in the night.
RSS in a handout said that as per the tradition of the RSS, the Sarsanghchalak and Sarkaryavah travel all the provinces of the country as part of organizational work and to interact with prominent persons.
Since its formation, Sarsanghchalak visit every province in connection with the organizational work. Earlier, Dr Bhagwat visited Jammu in the year 2021 after taking over as head of Sangh in 2009.
The activists of Sangh and it’s offshoot organisations are in an upbeat mood on the arrival of Dr Bhagwat.
