Reviews working of 38 organisations of Sangh Parivar

JAMMU, Oct 14: Maintaining that Bharat belongs to a great civilization from times immemorial and Swayamsevaks are duty bound to revive it, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief, Dr Mohan Rao Bhagwat today exhorted the Swayamsevaks to dedicate themselves for protection of environment and ecology, cementing social harmony and strengthening the traditional family system of the country.

Dr Bhagwat, who is on three days visit of J&K, was addressing Samanvah Baithak (coordination meeting) of the various organizations of the Sangh Parivar here.
One hundred five Swayamsevaks of 38 organizations of the Sangh Parivar attended the meeting in which various social issues were discussed threadbare. The RSS chief sought reporting from heads of all Sangh offshoots including BJP, VHP and Bajrang Dal regarding their performance and functioning.
Dr Bhagwat emphasized the need for further spreading organizational networks so as to reach out to every home with the message of the Sangh. He especially focused on spreading the organization’s network ahead of the centenary celebrations (100th year) of the foundation of RSS falling in 2025.
Dr Bhagwat, while unfolding Sangh’s 2025 mission stressed that Swayamsewaks should reach every nook and corner and bring entire society in the ambit of Sangh to widen its base further in the UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
In the Samanvah Baithak, the RSS chief reviewed various projects initiated by the J&K branch of Sangh for the development of villages and rural economy. He gave some suggestions to the Swayamsevaks who have taken projects for village development and social harmony in the society.
During his busy schedule, the RSS chief met with the inmates of hostel of Sewa Bharti at Keshav Bhawan. He interacted with the students and inquired about their educational activities. The students also got a moral boosting after meeting Dr Bhagwat.
Kshatriya Sanghchalak Sita Ram Vyas and Sanghchalak of J&K Prant Dr. Goutam Mengi were also present on the stage.
Later, the RSS chief also addressed the Sangh Pracharks at Bharatiya Yog Sansthan, Gole Gujral and discussed the role of Shakhas (RSS drill) with them. Dr Bhagwat while stating that Shakhas transform the lives of Swayamsevaks, bringing discipline and dedication towards nation in them, said an RSS volunteer does not remain confined to Shakhas only but works in society for its total transformation by imbibing the spirit of patriotism and selfless service among the people also.
He said while Shakhas build character of Swayamsevaks, their main task is to dedicate themselves in service of society. A disciplined society can make strong nation which can withstand all challenges. The Shakhas act as battery charger for a Swayamsewak to make him a disciplined and dedicated citizen who forgets himself and his family and is devoted in the service of society and nation as a whole, he added.
Dr Bhagwat said that the work of Sangh is not aggression but awakening of Samaj (society). A Swayamsevak is always vigilant to guide the society in all challenges. Stressing on equality in society, he said this is must for strengthening and creating harmony in the society.
Maintaining that the discipline in Samaj is most essential, Dr Bhagwat said that Swayamsevaks have to work for strengthening bonds in the society. He said the Sangh will complete its 100 years of foundation in 2025 and highlighted the role performed by RSS in last one century. He asked the Swayamsevaks that they should create Jagran Toli (awareness group) in every Mohalla in J&K including Kashmir besides Ladakh to apprise the people about the role of Sangh.
Tomorrow the RSS chief will address the working Committees of J&K and Ladakh here in the morning. The pracharaks from Ladakh headed by Vijay Chillnpa, a Working Committee member from the region have reached Jammu to participate in the meeting.
Sources said they will detail the RSS chief about the prevailing situation in the Himalayan region especially on Indo-China border. Later Dr Bhagwat will leave for Kathua to address Swayamsevaks of twin districts of Kathua and Samba in full dress at Kathua Sports Stadium besides paying tribute to Dr Shyama Prasad Mookherjee by garlanding his statue at Lakhanpur. He will also visit Jakhbar village in Kathua to unveil the statue of Bharat Mata in the town.
