KATHUA, Oct 16: Kathua Campus, University of Jammu organized a flagship event “Sangacham-2023” for involving and engaging external stakeholders for a mutually beneficial relationship.
Professor Parikshat Singh Manhas, Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) and Director, State Council of Educational Research and Training, was the chief guest. He opined that the amalgamation of universities, external stakeholders, and the community creates a powerful synergy, propelling progress, research, and development.
Raghunandan Singh, Vice Chairman, District Development Council, Kathua, was the guest of honour. He reminisced about the history of Kathua Campus and narrated the fascinating journey of how the land in Janglote was allocated for the campus, underscoring his enduring association with the institution from its inception.
Prof S K Pandey, Director, Reasi Campus and Chief Coordinator Campuses, University of Jammu, graced the occasion as the special guest. He emphasized that the future is not an abstract destination but a journey that must be meticulously crafted through our collective actions and partnerships.
Dr Meenakshi Kilam, Rector, Kathua Campus, JU, said that the campus has redefined the educational landscape in this region through innovation, unwavering dedication, and active community engagement. She added that the campus has evolved into a dynamic ecosystem where ideas flourish, partnerships thrive, and the community enjoys the countless advantages that arise from this vibrant educational hub.
Earlier, Dr Sourabh Shastri, Convener of Sangacham-2023, provided an insightful overview of the event.
Er Rakesh Kumar Gupta (Chief Engineer, JKPDC, Jammu), Murari Digra (District Agriculture Officer, Kathua), Dr Raj Rishi (GMC Kathua), Dr Imran Farooq from JU, Dr Vishal Mahajan (Sr Scientist, KVK, Jammu), Manmohan Sharma (Plant Doctor, SDAO Office, Kathua), Pankaj Dogra (Chairperson, Dogra Educational Trust, Kathua), Sohan Lal Sharma (Proprietor, Avalon Residency, Kathua), Kamal Sharma (Founder Director, Save First investiture Services) were prominent among those who attended the programme.
Various stakeholders from industry, medical colleges, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, civil and police authorities, trade & commerce, sports associations, elected representatives, alumni attended the programme. Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Ritika Goyal whereas Pranav Ratta delivered the vote of thanks.
