JAMMU, Oct 17: The T.R Gupta Public Charitable Trust organized a free Multi-Specialty Medical Camp at village Teryath in District Rajouri.
During Camp, a team of senior Doctors from different specialties visited Teryath in Kalakote block and provided free medical consultation and treatment to more than 550 patients along with medicines free of cost.
The specialists included Dr. Ashok Kumar Gupta, former Head of Department, Pediatrics, SMGS Hospital GMC, Jammu, Dr. Kuldeep Gubgotra, senior consultant physician, Dr. S.S Padha, senior Bones & Joint Specialist and Dr. R.C Sharma, consultant Gynecologist and Obstetrician.
Investigations like hemoglobin of 250 patients, blood sugar estimation of 40 patients was also carried out in addition to ECG on the advice of the Physician.
Nonagenarian T.R Gupta, Trust chairman could not attend the camp but he conveyed his blessings for the success of the Camp and remained in touch with Trustees Dr. Ashok Kumar Gupta, Naresh Gupta and Kailash Langer present at Camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Trustee and noted Child Specialist, Dr Ashok Gupta informed that this was third free Medical Camp organized by the Trust this year and first outside Jammu district.
He announced that similar Medical Camps would be organized in other areas in future also to reach the people who need health care.
Dr. Gupta lauded the major role played by the Village Sarpanch, Ashok Sharma and Teacher Ajay Sharma in making the Camp successful.
Other functionaries who contributed for the success of the Camp were Raman Pargal, Ajay, Basharat Hussain, Rupesh, Naresh, Punnu, Balvinder and R.K Sharma.
