POONCH, Oct 17: A Scooty was burnt after lightning struck an electric pole and wires at Ward No, 9 , Mohalla Radio Station in Poonch City last night.
Official sources said that during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday at about 2:30 AM, lightning during thunder-storm hit an electric pole and wires which were burnt. A Scooty bearing registration number JK12A-9969, parked under the pole also caught fire and burnt after a wire fell on it.
Station House Officer Poonch, Inspector Deepak Pathania confirmed the incident. The Scooty owner was identified as Rishave Sheikh, son of Mohd Khursheed, resident of Poonch.
