KISHTWAR, Oct 17: Fire inflicted heavy damage to at least six shops in Chatroo area here late in the evening.
Sources informed that the shops were in a market complex belonging to one Altaf Hussain Malik and everything in these shops reduced to ashes.
Till last reports the fire tenders have rushed for the spot from Kishtwar town which is 30 km away from the site of incident.
However, locals, police and army personnel were on job with limited resources to douse the blaze.
SDM Chatroo, Shokat Mattoo when contacted informed that reason for the fire incident could not be ascertained as of now.
He assured proper investigation into the matter.
