RAJOURI, Oct 19: The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal presided over a District Grievance Redressal Committee meeting, here today.
The meeting underlined the commitment of the administration to the welfare and healthcare access for beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, a pivotal healthcare initiative by the Government of India.
During the meeting, the Chief Medical Officer, Dr Rajinder Sharma informed that the committee, demonstrating commendable administrative efficiency, successfully resolved all 148 grievances received on the portal, ensuring that no issues were left pending. The grievances encompassed various concerns, including out-of-pocket expenses, denial of treatment, wrong treatment, technical issues, instances of misbehavior etc.
It was informed that the District Grievance Redressal Committee had diligently investigated and resolved each grievance, emphasizing the dedication of the administration to delivering quality healthcare without undue financial or bureaucratic burdens. Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal expressed satisfaction with the resolution of all grievances and extended gratitude to the officers and staff involved, underscoring the importance of a responsive and accountable administration.
The committee also addressed the review of medical examinations, consultations and treatments, with a focus on the quality of care provided to patients.
Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, reinforcing the dedication of the administration to the healthcare needs of the community.
Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Rajinder Sharma and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
