JAMMU, Oct 19: Dr Parveen Singh, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Sciences at Govt SPMR College of Commerce, attended 10- day international training program at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) Trieste, Italy, under Fellowship.
Dr Parveen was selected as one of the recipients of the prestigious ICTP Italy Fellowship 2023-24, which is renowned for its exclusivity.
During his 2023-24 ICTP Italy Fellowship, Dr Singh also had the unique opportunity to visit the Vienna International Centre in Vienna, Austria, where the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Secretariat is headquartered. During this visit, Dr Singh participated in discussions with several prominent figures in the nuclear sector. Additionally, he delved into the exploration of Artificial Intelligence applications in nuclear waste management and had the privilege of presenting a poster on this cutting-edge topic.
Dr Singh has been the recipient of three separate fellowships by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology to attend one month long international training programs at Jio Tong University Shanghai and Kumming University.
