Kathua, Oct 19: Bharat Vikas Parishad, Kathua Branch organized an Inter-School National Group Song Competition in the premises of Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Shiva Nagar here today.
Chairman, District Development Council Kathua, Colonel Mahan Singh was the chief guest and Vice Chairman District Development Council Kathua, Raghunandan Singh Bablu was the guest of honour.
Nine teams from different schools of Kathua displayed their talent. Thus the Hindi and the Sanskrit songs enriched with national spirit were selected from the book “Chetna Ke Svar” published by Bharat Vikas Parishad New Delhi. The participating teams presented their best creating an aura of smoothing music and emotions.
Prof. Dr. Ram Murti Sharma the Chief Patron of Bharat Vikas Parishad highlighted the motto of the organisation and apprised the audiences of various social activities being undertaken by the branch.
Winners of the competition and participating contestants were given mementoes and certificates by Kuldeep Goswami, Secretary Bharat Vikas Parishad Kathua and many other prominent guests.
