Kathua police arrests 2 absconders evading arrest

KATHUA, Oct 20: District Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP, Kathua, Shivdeep Singh Jamwal has started a special drive to arrest absconders evading arrest for long time.
In the first instance, on October 20, Police Station, Rajbagh arrested an absconder namely Abdul Majid, son of Abdul Gani of Rangora Jammu . The accused was absconding for a long time against whom warrant under Section 512 CrPC had been issued by the court of law in case FIR No. 41/2013 U/S 188/RPC, 3/PCA of PS Rajbagh. The authorities have been searching for him since the issuance of the warrant. A team of Police Station (PS), Rajbagh headed by Inspector, Tariq Ahmed, SHO PS Rajbagh under the guidance of SDPO Border, Dheeraj Singh Katoch has made the arrest and later produced the absconder in the court of law.
While in the second instance, Police Station Kathua arrested another absconder namely Subash Chandar, son of Belli Ram of Kawa Udhampur, tehsil and district Udhampur today who was also absconding for a long time. Against whom warrant U/S 512 CrPC had been issued by the court of law in case FIR No. 200/2007 U/S 279/337/IPC of PS Kathua. The authorities have been searching for the defendant since the issuance of the warrant. Manjeet Singh has made the arrest and later produced the absconder in the court of law.
