Two assault case accused nabbed from Chandigarh

JAMMU, Oct 20: Jammu Police has arrested two absconders wanted in an assault case from Chandigarh in Punjab.
As per the reports, the accused identified as Danish Sharma, son of Umesh Sharma of Rehari Colony (Jammu) and Kartik Dubey son of Ram Krishan Sharma of Toph Sherkhania (Jammu) launched a physical attack on one Gourav Sharma son of Chander Mohan Sharma of Upper Laxmi Nagar (Jammu) in Shakti Nagar area on October 14.
In the assault, Gourav Sharma sustained serious injuries and he is still under treatment in ICU ward of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu. In this connection, a case FIR Number 148/2023 U/S 307 IPC was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and a thorough investigation was initiated, leading to the search for the accused individuals, who were on run.
On October 18, a significant breakthrough was achieved by Bakshi Nagar Police when both the accused were successfully apprehended in Chandigarh. The Police have made substantial progress in this case with the arrests of these suspects. The further investigation into this serious assault case is going on.
