Moot Court Mock Drill held at PTTI

VIJAYPUR, Oct 20: Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) here today organized a Moot Court Mock Drill proceedings under UAPA cases to aware cops how to appear and depose their statements before the Courts as prosecution witnesses.
The proceedings were held at newly established Moot Court PTTI Vijaypur under the supervision of Haseeb-Ur-Rehman, DIG SIU Jammu Zone who is designated as Nodal Officer for Jammu Zone by PHQ-J&K for organizing Moot Court proceedings for prosecution witnesses.
On this occasion, mock drill of a UAPA case of District Kathua was conducted in which Police witnesses of the case appeared before the Moot Court and cross examined by designated defense counsel.
Earlier, Shiv Kumar, Principal PTTI Vijaypur welcomed DIG SIU Jammu Zone and other Investigating Officers of various districts.
Speaking on the occasion, DIG SIU Jammu Zone expressed hope that the moot court trials would surely help cops to comprehend court proceedings better and would also refine their capabilities to fix investigation lacunas.
Instructions were also issued to Investigating Officers for properly briefing cops accompanying them during investigation of the case on daily basis for achieving logical conclusion of Police cases.
Dhushyant Sharma, SSP, Vice Principal PTTI Vijaypur; Zia-Ul-Haq ( Dy.SP Outdoor); Kuldeep Raj (Dy.SP Indoor/Tech); Khushwant Singh (Dy.SP Admn.); Chief Investigation Officers (Dy.SPs) of different districts-Tilak Raj Bhardwaj, Vishal Sharma, Rajesh Jasrotia, Sahil Mahajan, Aijaz Choudhary and other officers/officials of PTTI Vijaypur were also present on the occasion.
