MAA YOU ARE IRREPLACEABLE!

MAA YOU ARE IRREPLACEABLE!

Do you know why I believe in love at first sight?
Because I saw my ‘MOM’ when I first opened my eyes.
You are the one who gracefully gave me birth,
Due to you I am able to see this beautiful earth!
You taught me how to crawl, sit and talk,
You held my finger when I first tried to walk.
The first alphabet I learnt, it was from you,
You were my first teacher and that’s true.
You packed my tiffin and walked me to school,
With neat and clean uniform you made me look cool.
That ‘1 rupee’ coin you gave me daily as pocket money,
You remained in dark but made my life sunny.
Your sacrifices are countless what more I can tell?
You never left me hungry even when you were unwell.
Whenever I need something you never refuse,
If I take a thousand births, I wouldn’t be able to pay your dues.
Growing up, I often forget that you are also getting old,
My Dear “Maa” You are precious than every diamond and gold.

Poetry

My company for me is like a riddle,
I don’t leave myself in the middle,
Then poetry is what comes out,
My heart starts to sprout,
Emotions offshoot and find a path,
Starting from my home to the footpath,
There are stories and lessons to learn,
The exquisite poem has yet to earn,
Writing in the flow of views,
Connecting a lot of little clues,
Clues related to the lives of poor and rich,
Not precise but with a glitch,
A glitch like how a person thinks,
Whenever his past stinks,
His past that I don’t know,
Maybe he smiles or he feels low,
He may be you or someone far away,
To be precise, I need to do a survey,
To know your deepest thoughts ping,
Which makes you and your past swing,
Poetry is like knitting emotion,
With perfectly picked words from an ocean.

Time

Can’t you wait for anyone
Why are you flying?
Can’t you sit a while
Why are you always in style?
People say time and time waits for none
But this attitude is not fun
You are too long when waiting,
And too short when busy
Why are you so heartless?
Can’t you wait for anyone
