DODA, Jan 11: Police today arrested two narcotic smugglers and recovered around two kilograms of charas from their possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, a party from Doda police station conducted raid in a hotel and subjected two persons to questioning and searching.
During checking, police recovered 1. 870 kilograms of charas from their possession and both were arrested.
The narcotic smugglers have been identified as Shezaad Ahmed Mala, resident of Shatipura, Shopian and Rafiq Khan of Dharosh, Doda.
A case under FIR number 8/14 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Doda and investigation started.
