Delphic Council discusses promotion of art & culture

JAMMU, Oct 22: The Delphic Council of J&K, local chapter of an international organization headquartered at Greece and working worldwide for art and culture, held its meeting here today.
The meet discussed its programmes for talent hunt and providing budding artists platform for showcasing their talent at national and international level besides enhancing their competitive capabilities.
Er Ashok Singh, President of Delphic Council, J&K, who is also Secretary General of Delphic Council (India), informed that the Delphic Council would provide the artists their livelihood in J&K, once engaged with some activity. He said that the Council is working in various districts of the UT for the more than two years for promoting Art, handicrafts and culture so that the artists who have no access to the outside world, living in the villages and small towns are given the national and international platform for their livelihood.
A S Aman, former Additional Secretary, Academy of Art Culture and Language, N N Thussu (Treasurer), Bishan Dass (Joint Secretary), Dr Sushma Rajput, Arnab Khajuria with Sanchaita (Shilpkari Bazar), Dr Gharo Choudhary, Dr Anila Singh Charak, Asha Kesar, Dogri folk singer (Pakh), Girdhari Lal Sarangai player, Dr Sushma Bala, academician and artists attended the meeting.
