Samba police arrests bovine smuggler

SAMBA, Oct 22: Under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, police has foiled bovine smuggling attempt, rescued bovine animals and arrested notorious bovine smuggler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba.
The arrested notorious bovine smuggler has been identified as Sharif Din, son of Pura Din of BadlaBrahmana tehsil and district Samba. A case FIR No. 234/2023 U/S 188 IPC read with Sec 11 PCA Act has been registered at PS Samba and investigation is underway.
The bovine smuggler has been arrested by a police team comprising of SHO Police Station, Samba, Daljit Singh, under the supervision of DySPGaru Ram.
On the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh total 89 bovine smugglers have been arrested by Samba Police in past nine months after the launch of special drive, 70 FIRs have been registered against ovine smugglers, 60 vehicles used for bovine smuggling have been seized and 671 bovine animals have been rescued in Samba district.
