JAMMU, Oct 23: On the historic Accession Day of the erstwhile princely State of Jammu & Kashmir, BJYM, under its president Arun Prabhat, will organize “Vilay Dorh” (Marathon) event on October 26.
This marathon will commence from the Jammu Tawi 4th bridge, traversing through the city, and culminate at the Maharaja Hari Singh Park, near Hotel Fortune Rivera, BJYM JK UT president, Arun Prabhat told reporters here, today.
Arun Prabhat accompanied by BJYM Vice-president, Yuvraj Singh, general secretary, Abhishek Slathia, district president Jammu, Kannav Sharma, State secretary, Ishant Gupta, office secretary, Anil Rakwal, PRT In charge, Lovedewal Sharma said “This event is not just a run; it embodies the spirit of unity and harmony that has been the cornerstone of the region’s progress. It serves as a vibrant celebration of the historic signing of the Instrument of Accession, a defining moment that integrated the entire region of Jammu Kashmir with the Union of India back in 1947”,.
Arun urged the younger generation to recognize the pivotal significance of this historical milestone, stressing the need for a deeper understanding of the region’s rich cultural heritage. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, for designating this day as a State holiday, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to honouring and preserving the region’s esteemed legacy.
BJYM Jammu Kashmir will welcome citizens, history enthusiasts, and all those dedicated to preserving the cultural richness of the region to join in this momentous celebration, said Arun adding that by participating in the “Vilay Dorh,” individuals will not only pay homage to the enduring spirit of unity but also contribute to the preservation of the region’s rich history for generations to come.
