Former AAP leader Rajesh joins BSP

JAMMU, Oct 25: Former MP (RS) and senior BSP leader, Dr Kareempuria today alleged that present Government is not fulfilling the promises made with the people and pick and choose policy is being adopted in providing 5 marla plots to the poor and landless people in J&K.

Talking to media persons during joining BSP by the former AAP leader, Rajesh Gupta today, Dr Kareempuria said the deserving poor and landless people are being ignored by the LG’s administration. He alleged that there was no exercise of identification of deserving poor people and only favourites are being allotted land. “So far, 245 persons have been given the allotment orders by the LG. Nobody knows to whom this land is being allotted by the JK Administration,” BSP leader alleged.
J&K unit BSP president, SR Majotra alleged that democratic institutions are being ruined by the ruling BJP and reserved categories are being debarred of their democratic rights. No elections are being conducted for the State Assembly, Local Bodies and Panchayats in J&K.
Majotra claimed that due to rains and hailstorm the paddy crop of the farmers in the border of Jammu, Samba and Kathua belt has been badly damaged recently and the Government must provide compensation to the farmers after conducting assessment through Revenue and Agriculture teams. He also criticized the LG administration for not providing pension to the old age persons and widows.
Prominent among others present on the occasion included- Charanjeet vice president, Gurbaksh Gaurav- state coordinator, Baldev Raj-general secretary, Raja Singh, Badrinath, Jagdish Bhagat, Bishan Dass, Tilak Raj and Darshan Rana-all coordinators.
