JAMMU, Oct 25: The campus placement drive was held at Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) in Jammu as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, which focuses on fostering an academia-industry interface for the students of YCET.
YCET organized the drive with the participation of well-known companies, including Flipkart (renowned e-commerce company), Varindera Constructions Ltd, Lady Bird Web Solutions Pvt Ltd and Myntra (another e-commerce company).
This event was open to all final year B E students at YCET. The job profiles offered by these companies included: Technical Support Executive in a specific process, Customer Care Executive in a premium process, e-Commerce Customer Service Representatives, Construction Engineers and Software Engineers.
For the event, a total of 55 students were shortlisted. Ten students were chosen after a rigorous selection process that involved aptitude tests, group talks, in-person interviews and telephone interviews. Through the placement drive, three students- Ayushi, Purvi Mathur and Roshanshu Wadhera were chosen for the Flipkart, three students – Aman, Umesh and Chirag were hired by Varindera Constructions Ltd in Mohali, three students- Deveshwar Singh, Ayushi Bandral and Palak-were also hired by Flipkart. One student Ayushi, was hired by Myntra, an online retailer.
The program was conducted by the Placement Cell of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu. Many officials from the participating companies and Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology were actively involved in overseeing and facilitating the placement process.
All the selected students will get the package in the range of 2.0 lakh to 4.0 lakh per annum depending upon their performance after training.

All HoDs, Department Placement Coordinators and Assistant TPO Er Manjula Sharma coordinated the placement drive, which was conducted by Er Dinesh Gupta, Head, Training and Placement Cell of YCET.
