DODA, Oct 26: Police here today arrested two online fraudsters from Farrukhabad District of UP State.
In a statement Doda Police claimed that the fraudsters Adesh Singh, son of Swarn Singh, resident of Chandokha Farrukhabad, UP and Vishal Partap Singh, son of Adesh Kumar, resident of Salemnpur Bharkha Farrukhabad in UP were arrested as they were wanted in a case of FIR number 60/2020 U/S 420 IPC registered against them at Police Station Thathri.
Police sources informed that case was registered against the accused on the complaint of one Sanjay Kumar, son of Duni Chand, resident of Drabshalla, Kishtwar, a wholesale trader who in his complaint stated that he received a call from Mobile number 9648785929 from some person who revealed his name as Ajay Nagesh Joushi, working with Indices Sucrose Ltd based at Hoshi Pura Punjab and supplies sugar to dealers.
During conversation, the complainant was made to believe by the fraud that he would supply sugar for the complainant and upon this a demand of 10 tons of sugar was given by the complainant for his store at Thathri. In turn a bill for Rs. 3,25000 along with account number 519902010877960 was sent by fraudster to the complainant and he asked the complainant to make payment on the given account which the complainant did to get the supply of sugar.
Thereafter, complainant again received a call from the fraud that the vehicle in which sugar was supplied was on way to Thathri but it developed some snag near Udhampur and the complainant was again to send Rs. 5000 to the vehicle driver Raju having Mobile number 7668387652.
Sensing foul play, the complainant asked the fraud to send Rs. 5000 to his account and then he would arrange to send but the fraud denied after which the complainant came to know that he was cheated.
Police during investigation established that the complainant was cheated and they produced chargesheet of the case in the Court.
Consequently on non-bailable warrants issued by the Court against the fraudsters, a Police team from Police Station Thathri was deputed for their arrest and both the frauds were arrested with the help of UP Police from Farrukhabad and they were produced in the Court wherefrom they were lodged in District Jail Bhaderwah on judicial remand.
The fraudsters are also involved in number of phishing cases registered against them in Delhi, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh and they are notorious inter-state frauds.
