UDHAMPUR, Oct 26: A Dogri song album titled “Dogri Mahiye”, based on the festival of Karwa Chauth, was released today in Udhampur.
Renowned social and cultural activist, Chairman of VOD Management Committee Subhash Chander Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
Dogri Mahiye in the melodious voice of eminent singer Ranju Jandial is a heart touching collection of Dogri couplets (Tappe) written by renowned writer of Jammu and Kashmir Kusum Sharma Antra. Music has been composed by Sursham while renowned film maker Rahul Sharma has directed the video.
This song depicts the love and care of wives towards their husbands. It gives a very positive message to inculcate the high moral values in family life. Song has been appreciated by each and every person present in this release function.
Lead singer Ranju Jandial appealed to all the lovers of Dogri art and culture to support such types of musical projects so that artists could be attracted to put more and more efforts in this field.
