JAMMU, Oct 26: One person died and seven others suffered injuries in separate road accidents in Jammu District, police said today.
They said one Arun (22) son of Som Nath of Bishnah suffered injuries after the motorcycle he was riding on hit a divider at Palli Morh area of Bishnah.
He was rushed to Government Medical College Jammu, where he breathed his last around 5 Pm today, said police.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem while as a case under relevant sections of the law has been registered at police station Bishnah and further investigation taken up.
Meanwhile, an SPO was among the seven persons who suffered injuries in separate road accidents in the District.
Pawan Kumar (30) son of Dev Raj, who is posted at Police Station Arnia as SPO, got injured after the motorcycle he was riding on hit a dog at Sohagpur area of Arnia.
At Salehar Kothi Morh area of RS Pura Tehsil, two motorcycles collided with each other in which a father-son duo identified as Anil Lalotra son of
Vaid Paul of Kotli Arjun Singh of RS Pura and his son Rohit (13) suffered injuries.
One Ranjana Devi (35) wife of Naveen Kumar of Digiana suffered injuries near Ravi Dass Temple after she was hit by a motorcycle.
At Jagti area, one Sonia Suri (35) daughter of Omkar Nath Suri got injured after she was hit by a car.
One Diwanker son of late Dinesh Kapoor of Bakshi Nagar Jammu suffered injuries in a road accident near Bikram Chowk Jammu after his scooty was hit by a motorcycle.
A woman identified as Ranjeet Kour (62) wife of Rashpal Singh of Amritsar suffered injuries at Digiana area after she was hit by a bus.
While all the injured have been shifted to Government Medical College Jammu where they’re undergoing treatment police have registered separate cases under relevant sections of the law at different police stations and started further investigations into all the cases.
