JAMMU, Oct 26: Three tractors were seized for mining illegally in Gharota area here today.
A police spokesperson said that a special team of police officers headed by SHO Gharota Joginder Singh under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma laid a special naka on the intervening nights of October 25-26.
During naka checking, he said, three tractors used for transporting illegally extracted minor mining materials were seized by the police team.
Police have further warned of similar actions against those involved in illegal mining.
