Come out with concrete job policy for youth: Vakil

SOPORE, Oct 27: Senior vice president of People’s Conference and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil has said that the promises made by the UT Government for the unemployed youth have proved to be a damp squib.
Adressing meetings of party workers in Rafiabad area of Sopore today Vakil asserted that the promises and claims made by the UT Government for thousands of educated youth have not yielded any results so far. “The previous governor during his tenure had promised employment to thousands of youth in J&K but nothing was done on the ground and proved a white lie. He said Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has promised jobs but those announcements remained restricted to statements only.
Vakil expressed surprise that although various departments notified several posts for which unemployed youth applied but their application forms were thrown in dustbin and no progress has been seen in this regard.
He urged the UT administration and the Central Government to come out with a concrete job policy for the unemployed youth of J&K so that they do not suffer anymore and will not go towards direction which is detrimental to their health and add distancing them from mainstream.
