Joint Action Committee (R) highlights demands of Govt employees

JAMMU, Oct 28: Highlighting several demands, J&K Govt Employees Joint Action Committee (R) has appealed all the employees to come on common platform to fight united for their genuine demands.
While addressing a joint press conference along with senior Trade Union leaders, here today, Babu Hussain Malik, State President of the Action Committee, highlighted various issues of the Government employees, particularly delay in timely drawal of GP Fund advance/Final Payment, S/L/I maturity payment, Gratuity and Leave Salary.
Lamenting that the cases are pending since one year to six months, he urged upon the Government to release funds at an earliest for the same so that the employees and retirees do not suffer further.
Babu Hussain Malik also demanded early disposal of pending cases under SRO-43, regularization of all Daily Wagers/Casual Labourers/Contractual employees, Home Guards, Rehbar-E-Khel and Janglat and Anganwari Workers and Helpers.
Seeking removal of Pay Anomalies of Clerical cadre/ amendment in SRO-333 dated 02-08-2018, notional benefit with effect from 01-01-1996 and monetary benefit with effect from 02-2003, he demanded restoration of two additional increments on clearing Secretariat Assistant Course.
The Employees Joint Action Committee leader also demanded enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs 300/- per month to Rs 1000/- per month, holding of DPC after every six months, release of 4 percent DA on the pattern of Central Government with effect from July, 2023 and restoration of Old Pension Scheme. He made an appeal to all the employees of various demands and cadre to come on common platform to fight for their genuine demands.
Among others, who were present in the press conference, included Yashpal Sharma, Darshan Magotra, Kulwant Singh Sambyal, Surinder Radotra, Naresh Kumar, Meenakshi Sharma, Munish Sharma, Neeraj Sharma, Vikas Chander, Arun Sharma, Parshotam Sharma, Kamla Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Darminder Singh, Surinder Bakshi, Sham Singh, Pawan Kumar, Rafiq Malik, Mohd Sadiq, Lekh Raj, Rohit Seth, Yashpal Sharma, Mohd Issar and Naresh Singh.
