JAMMU, Oct 28: At least four gamblers were arrested from Khour area here today.
A police spokesperson said that acting on specific information, a team of Police Station Khour, led by SHO Khour, Inspector Rahul Mahajan, under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma, arrested four persons, who were playing cards in the area.
They have been identified as Gharu Ram, Swarn Lal, Yug Bahadur, and Balwan Singh, all residents of Village Budwal, Tehsil Khour.
“Stake money of Rs 1400 has also been seized from the accused, who have been booked under 13 Gambling Act at Police Station Khour,” said the police spokesperson, adding that further investigation into the case is underway.
