‘Sharad Mahotsav’ at Panjvaktra Mahadev Temple from Nov 3 to 5

JAMMU, Oct 29: Panjvaktra Mahadev Mandir Kala Samiti is going to organize ‘Sharad Mahotsav’ in the premises of Panjvaktra Mahadev Temple, here from November 3 to 5.
This was disclosed by Suresh Kumar Sharma (Receiver, Panjvaktra Mahadev Temple) and celebrated artists Deepak Kumar, Raj Kumar Behrupia, Amarjeet Singh and Pankaj Pradhan, while addressing a joint press conference, here today.
“The purpose of organizing this event is to provide a reputable platform for the youth of Jammu region to show-case their talent, besides re-establishing the forgotten tradition of music and performing arts in temples,” they added.
Sharma informed that a devotional music contest (vocal as well as instrumental), based on Indian classical music, besides Bhajan Sandhyas shall be organized every day during the Mahotsav.
He said the contest is open for Jammu youth in the age group of 16 to 23 years and the desirous candidates can send their entries through their institutions/directly by WhatsApp, Messenger, Email etc by 2nd of November.
Deepak Kumar informed that the winning students, besides being awarded cash prizes, shall also get an opportunity to perform on the final day of Bhajan Sandhya, being organized as a part of ‘Sharad Festival’ before a large audience of artists and members of the civil society.
The winners shall additionally be given an opportunity for studio recording in upcoming album of ‘Mandir’, he added.
