KATHUA, Oct 29: District Police, Kathua has arrested three gamblers from village Sounthal near here, yesterday and recovered Rs 6300 from their possession.
Police said after receiving the information from the reliable sources that some persons were gambling at the village Sounthal area under Police Station (PS) Kathua it acted swiftly and a police party led by Inspector, Sudhir Sadhotra, SHO PS Kathua under the guidance of DySP Headquarters, Kathua Manjeet Singh conducted a raid on the spot.
The police party arrested three accused persons namely Rakesh Kumar, son of Shanker Dass of Budhi Kathua, Naresh Kumar, son of Lt. Kartar Chand of Mearth Kathua and Ajay Kumar son of Romesh Lal of Nagrota Kathua and recovered cash amounting to Rs. 6300 from their possession.
