Global Harmony

Sir,
I read with great interest the thought-provoking article by Rameshwar Singh Jamwal, titled “West Asia on the boil – Indian Philosophy need of the hour,” published in this paper. Mr. Jamwal has brought to light the pressing issue of ongoing conflicts in West Asia and the need for a collective response.
In a world that often seems divided along religious, political, and ideological lines, India’s age-old philosophy of “Vasudev Kutumbkam” or “World is one family” offers a powerful and much-needed perspective. It reminds us that the well-being of one nation is intricately linked to the well-being of others. In these turbulent times, this philosophy can serve as a guiding light for peaceful coexistence and global cooperation.
As we witness the tragic consequences of terrorism and its impact on lives and economies, it becomes paramount to address this menace collectively. The article rightly emphasizes that the change must come from within, and Indian Philosophy can indeed be a game-changer in promoting empathy, understanding, and unity among nations.
In addition to diplomatic efforts, it’s essential that we, as a nation, promote these timeless values and principles, not just in our own country but on the global stage. Let us work towards making “Vasudev Kutumbkam” not just a slogan but a shared reality for the betterment of humanity.
