Six injured in separate road accidents

JAMMU, Oct 31: Two women, a 7-year-old girl, and a 4-year-old boy, were among the six people, who sustained injuries in separate road accidents in Jammu District today, police said.
Shahida (35) wife of Zakir Hussain and Shafia (40) wife of Abdul Wahid, both residents of Kishtwar, suffered injuries after an auto they were travelling in was hit by a truck at Satwari Chowk here, they said.
Police said one Ramesh Chander (50) son of Girdhari Lal of RS Pura got injured after he was hit by a car at RS Pura Main Market.
At Sunjwan, near Firdous Baad, one Anshu Mehra (18) son of Raj Kumar of Nai Basti, Satwari, suffered injuries in the collision of a bike and a car, police further said.
They added that a 4-year-old boy Umar Farooq son of Abdul Karim of Bathindi was hit by a scooty outside his home in Bathindi area.
Meanwhile, a 7-year-old girl identified as Sarida Bibi daughter of Dil Mohammad of Vidhata Nagar, Bathindi, suffered injuries near her home after she was hit by a scooty.
Police have registered cases under relevant sections of the law at the concerned police stations and started further investigations.
