UDHAMPUR, Oct 31: Continuing its “War against Drugs”, Udhampur Police today arrested two drug peddlers and recovered narcotics from their possession.
Reports said that a Police team led by SHO Udhampur, Insp Raghubir Singh Chaudhary, during routine Naka/checking on Sumbal road Udhampur, noticed the movement of one suspicious person namely Rocky Sehgal son of Baldev Raj Sehgal of Sumbal, Udhampur.
On his frisking, approximately 6.72 grams of Heroin like narcotics was recovered from his possession. Police arrested the accused and seized the recovered Heroin.
In another success, 03 grams of Heroin was recovered from another drug peddler from Roundomail area under the jurisdiction of Udhampur Police Station.
The accused was identified as Rahul Sharma, son of Late Parmanand of Sambal Danga, Udhampur. He was arrested on the spot.
In both the cases, FIRs have been registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation was under progress.
