Natrang to screen 50 shows of ‘Gulab Gatha’

JAMMU, Nov 1: The theatre group ‘Natrang’ is going to organize record 50 shows of acclaimed film ‘Gulab Gatha’ in entire Jammu region.
This was disclosed here today by Natrang Director Balwant Thakur in a press briefing.
Giving details he informed that with the support of Maharaja Gulab Singh Memorial Trust, this show series of the film is being initiated.
“Aimed at educating masses in general and students in particular about the creation of the largest princely state of India these shows shall be held free of cost for the viewers,” Thakur said adding that unfortunately local history and culture is not being taught either at school or college level and this film is going to fill this huge gap to a larger extent.
He further informed that the 50 show series is starting from November 2, 2023 from Government College for Women, Udhampur and the film will be screened again on November 4 at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Reasi in collaboration with District Administration, Reasi at 12 noon and 3 pm.
“On November 7, 2023 two shows shall be screened at the Auditorium of Women College Gandhi Nagar at 11 am and 12.30 pm while on November 8, 2023, four shows will be screened at the Auditorium of Government College for Women, Parade Jammu at 11 am, 12.15 pm, 1.30 pm and 2.45 pm,” Balwant Thakur said adding: “This current show series will culminate on November 9 at Moonlight Cinema, Kathua where the shows will be screened in collaboration with District administration at 2.30 pm and 4 pm respectively.”
Film ‘Gulab Gatha’ is about the journey of a soldier who achieved great success at everything he initiated.
