KISHTWAR, Nov 1: Police here today arrested an absconder who was evading arrest for the last 10 years.
Sharing details in this regard, SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal said that information regarding whereabouts of the absconder was received through sources and acting swiftly on it a team from Police Station Kishtwar led by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, SHO Kishtwar, conducted raids under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Kishtwar, Dr. Ishan Gupta and nabbed the absconder identified as Bashir Ahmed Khanday, son of Ghula Khanday, resident of Jugna Keshwan.
He was wanted in case of FIR number 146/2013, U/Section 436, 353, 336, 435, 332, 427, 147, 148 of RPC registered at Police Station, Kishtwar.
After arrest, Bashir Ahmed Khanday was promptly produced before a Court in Kishtwar.
A handout stated that legal proceedings will now take their course as the authorities will work to address charges against him.
