JAMMU, Jan 14: Demanding regularization, National Youth Corps (NYC) volunteers held a protest demonstration here today.
Carrying placards and banners, they assembled in front of the Press Club and raised slogans against the Government for not redressing their demand of regularization.
The protest was also addressed by some leaders of the  All J&K National Youth Corps (NYC) Association, who alleged that the Government was not serious about the future of 8000 youth of the State.
These NYCs were engaged with different Government departments and  rendered 2 years service while the Government is now implementing use and throw policy on these volunteers, they said and demanded regularization of their services.
The protesters also threatened to further intensify their struggle if the Government does not regularize them.
