HYDERABAD, Nov 4: Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur on Saturday said that  the name of BRS MLC and  Telangana Chief Minister  K.Chandrashekar Rao’s daughter K Kavitha  is in the Delhi liquor scam case and she has to come clean on that.

Talking to reporters here, Anurag said ” If you look at the Delhi liquor scam case,  one after another has been called for investigation.

The notices have been issued to those who are involved. Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was in the jail and  also MPs. They did not get the bail, he said.

The Investigating agency also issued notice to Delhi Chief Miniter Arvind Kejriwal, who is the kingpin in the liquor scam, the Union Minister alleged.

At the same time, there are many others, who do not belong to Delhi but hail from the state of Telangana, are also in the scam.

He alleged that the entire KCR family was involved in the corrupt practices in the state.

“There is not much time for Kavitha” in the liquor scam,  Anurag added.

In September, the Supreme Court directed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) not to issue summons to Kavitha for appearance in the Delhi liquor scam, till November 20.

The ED is investigating Kavitha for her alleged involvement in money laundering rooted in the implementation of the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy in 2021-22. (UNI)
