JAMMU, Nov 4: At least seven vehicles were seized for mining illegally in Jammu District today.
A police spokesperson said that two vehicles were seized by a team of Police Station Akhnoor led by Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, three tractors by a team of Police Post Pallanwala led by incharge Police Post Pallanwala, ASI Raj Singh, one JCB by Police Post Pargwal led by incharge Police Post Pargwal, PSI Deep Kumar and one dumper by a team of Police Post Chatha led by incharge Police Post Chatha, PSI Harjinder Singh in their respective jurisdictions.
“The DMO Jammu has been intimated about the vehicles seized,” he said, adding that the seized vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order.
