14th Chandi Mata Jagran held at Ved Mandir

JAMMU, Nov 5: The 14th huge Shree Chandi Mata Jagran was held at Ved Mandir ground, Amphalla last night with religious fervor and enthusiasm.
Spiritual leader and astrologer, Dr Shiv Parsad Raina, president Ved Mandir Committee Suresh Kumar and president Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha, J&K Parshotam Dadhichi were the special invitees and conducted the ritual of Poojan.
Organized by Shree Chandi Mata Sewa Samiti, Karan Nagar under the aegis of Shree Institute of Education, over 10000 devotees from the entire Jammu city and adjoining areas participated in the Jagran and took the blessings of Goddess Chandi Mata.
Suneet Raina, chairman of Sewa Samiti along with other members of Jagran committee and dignitaries lighted the Akhand Jyoti and performed Aarti Poojan. The atmosphere of Jagran premises was charged with the devotion and the devotees offered special prayers for peace and harmony of Jammu and Kashmir.
Amid, ‘Mata Rani Ke Jaikara’ the Jagran was commenced with Ganesh Vandana by famous singer from Machail Padder Daljeet Singh Rathore followed by Mata Chandi ke Bhajans in Dogri, Hindi and Paddri language by Komal Sharma from Himachal Pradesh, Naveen Panjabi of Udhampur, Ravi Kumar of Reasi and Sohit Sufi of Jammu and Zulekha from Bhaderwah. Naveen Punjabi surcharged the atmosphere by reciting over dozen Punjabi and Dogri Bhajans of Shiva and Chandi Mata.
Various music artists from Jammu enthralled the audience with their skills on various instruments. The stage was ably managed by senior TV artist Parveen Sharma.
On the occasion, Suneet Raina (MD, Shree Institute and Chairman of the Samiti) along with Rohit Gupta of Bushan Radio and Subash Nanda (Regional head of Kamdhenu) provided a financial help of Rs 2 lakh to the family of late Surinder Singh Manhas, Jammu’s famous singer, who died after prolonged illness.
