TNWS organizes Police-public meet

JAMMU, Nov 5: Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) here today organized a Police-Public meeting which was attended by SDPO East Dy.SP, S. Purpkar Singh and SHO Bahu Fort Police Station Inspector, Shiv Dev Singh.
Rajinder Parshad Kakkar, president TNWS welcomed the guests and raised problems of the area like presence of drug abusers at spots like Punchvati Park in Sector 5 Ward 54 and Khoo Wali Gali in Trikuta Nagar Colony.
Problem of car parking especially in lanes of Sector 7 in Ward 54 and Adresh Enclave Trikuta Nagar was also discussed and it was stated that some anti-social elements create non-sense by doing parties in luxury cars.
TNWS members also said that to prevent accidents there should a rotary in front of Police Station crossing and in main market crossing.
They also discussed the issue of outsider beggars especially children whose number has suddenly increased in Trikuta Nagar.
TNWS members demanded random checking in lanes of Trikuta Nagar to control anti-social elements especially in evening hours.
They claimed that number of vendors in the area has also increased and demanded proper registration of vendors with the Police Station.
Residents of Sector 9 claimed that eight feet cobra snake often enters their homes and cleanliness drive is required in the area.
SDPO East Jammu listened to the problems of Trikuta Nagar residents and assured them that they are already on job to solve all these problems.
He said that in this social media regime the Trikuta Nagar residents may help cops by clicking doubtful culprits and sending the same to SHO without wasting time.
Pawan Kapoor, Amarjeet Singh, Sandeep Sharma, N.K Bali, Advocate Harshvardhan Gupta, Dr. Arun Gandotra, Dr. T.R Gupta, Kewal Mahajan, Vijay Gupta, S.N Kaul and Denash Mahajan were also present in the meeting.
