ACD listens public grievances, SDM seizes illegally fallen logs

JAMMU, Nov 6: Assistant Commissioner (Development), Jammu, Preeti Sharma here today visited Revenue Village Bandraal Khurd in Chowki Choura Sub Division to listen the grievances of the people.
SDM Chowki Choura, Virender Gupta along with Dr. Raman Jandyal, Tehsildar and Revenue Team, welcomed the Assistant Commissioner.
District Panchayat Officer and Rupinder Kour, BDO Akhnoor were also present on the occasion.
During the grievance redressal camp Sarpanch Somnath Sharma demanded road-connectivity to various Wards of his Panchayat for which the ACD directed the accompanying BDO to immediately start construction of various link-roads after receiving demands from the concerned Wards.
The SDM directed the BDO to sensitize and motivate the concerned job-holders of the respective Wards so that the much needed development could be witnessed, under MG NREGA in coming days.
Demands for immediately laying of iron-crate at passenger shed, school building and well near Government Middle School building was also raised for which the ACD preferred to visit the spot in person and gave explicit directions to the concerned JE of BDO Office for preparing its DPR within a week.
On way back, the SDM and his accompanying Revenue Team seized a large quantity of illegally fallen wooden logs as well as cutter tools and directed the Tehsildar to immediately take its cognizance.
Earlier, the pace of under-construction culvert and the on-going BT Work, through PMGSY from Sungal-Samah to Bandraal Khurd was also inspected and the AEE PMGSY was directed by the SDM to complete the pending BT Work at Ward 4 as early as possible.
