KARGIL, Nov 6: Chairman/ Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohammad Jaffer Akhoon today handed over an immediate compensation of Rs 50000 to the family members of a girl who drowned in the flow of water released from NHPC Chutak HEP barrage.
A press statement said that the CEC handed over the compensation amount provided by the NHPC to the family members of the deceased girl in presence of Aga Huda, Councillor, Parkachik.
The CEC assured the family members of the deceased girl that LAHDC Kargil would stand by them in their difficult times. The family members of the deceased girl thanked the CEC for expressing sympathies with them.
