Quarters for package employees at Odina san facilities: KPC

JAMMU, Nov 7: Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC ) in a meeting at New Delhi today while discussing the overall problems being faced by PM package employees and other Hindu employees in the Kashmir Valley has expressed its concern about allotment  of incomplete quarters to these employees especially at Odina, Bandipur and also highlighted the security concerns of these employees in view of the recent militant attacks in Kashmir.
Kundan Kashmiri, president KPC stated Kashmiri Pandits in general and KPC are highly grateful to UT administration,  especially to the LG , Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta and Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Ashok Bidhuri for  their unwavering commitment of  filling all 6000 posts  and for their quickest measures for  construction of  6000 flats for these employees in Valley..
However, KPC leaders expressed grave concern over allotment of incomplete quarters to the package employees and also slow pace of work on the ongoing housing projects in Odina, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Pulwama,Kulgam and Anantnag. “It is with a heavy heart to convey the distressing reality that the basic facilities in these areas are far from satisfactory’’, Kashmiri said.
The quarters at Odina, Bandipur are totally without basis facilities like water supply, Geysers, railing and other important things and employees are facing lot of problems during these Winter times in the Valley, in this regard some concerned authorities including Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir were informed but no action has been taken as yet, it added and demanded that all the basic facilities be provided in these quarters without any delay besides foolproof security to the employees be ensured.
