JAMMU, Nov 7: The pensioners of LIC elected the members for their new committee in a meeting held here today.
The meeting was held under the guidance of JR Verma, Vice President, Insurance Pensioners Association (IPA) J&K, is also affiliated with All Indian Insurance Pensioners Association (AIIPA).
During the meeting, JR Verma, Vice President, IPA, highlighted the achievements of AIIPA due to which the LIC pensioners are eligible for family pension @30 %.
The benefits like- Group Insurance, group Mediclaim, ex-gratia to pre 1986 retirees or to dependents of pre 1986 deceased retirees are also there for LIC pensioners.
“Our continuous struggle is going on for updation of pension for LIC retirees, Updation retirees, updation of pension and other logical demands.”
On the occasion, the association also framed new body, in which M L Bhat was elected as President, Romesh Chand as General Secretary, Ashok Birpuri as Treasurer, Neelam Sharma as Vice President, and Chatnaya Sharma was elected as Joint Secretary.
Among others, who were present during the meeting included, Narinder Singh, Karnua Kirti, Ritu Sharma, Subash Gupta and Sanjay Bhat.
