JAMMU, Nov 8: A thirty-year-old man ended his life by hanging at the Shakti Nagar locality here today.
Vinod Gupta (30) son of Romesh Chander Gupta of Lane number 10, Shakti Nagar, Jammu, was spotted hanging from a ceiling fan at his home with the help of a scarf around 9:10 AM today.
He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared him as dead on arrival.
Police have shifted the body of the deceased to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem while as inquest proceedings have been initiated to ascertain the reasons as to why the young man took such an extreme step to end his life.
