Revision of fee structure

Sir,
I wish to draw the attention of Chairman Fee Structure Committee J&K Secretary Technical Education, Director Technical Education towards the Govt. Order No. 220 Edu (Tech) of 2013 dated 12-12-2013, published in this newspapers regarding the revision of fee structure of diploma courses of Polythene colleges.
The said notification is ambiguous and it seems the higher echleons of Technical Education
Department have ignored the fact that there are 12 polythnics in the State out of which 08 are in private sector. Instead of streamlining the fee structure among all private polytechnics, the committee has allowed hike of 27 percent in favour of five colleges only selectively. It seems that undue favour has been bestowed on few blue eyed people/owners of such institutes who are going to be benefitted from such hike at the cost of students studying in such institutes.
Further such a partisan move of the Technical Education Department has set  the cat among pigeons and will lead to unrest among the students of such colleges who had applied to such institutes based on the fact that there shall be uniformity of fee structure.
It seems that the committee has also ignored the judgement of Supreme Court which has called for uniform fee structure for free seats in private colleges. Even the information brouchers issued by JKBOPEE has also mentioned uniform fee structures from time to time and earlier revision of fee structures has been uniform for all colleges.
In view of the above highlighted facts, it shall be widely appreciated, if the Government has a relook at the notification in view of the Justice (Retd.) Muzaffar Jan, Chairman Fee Structure Committee to propose a nominal and uniform revision of fee structures across all private Polytechnic colleges as is existing from inception of private polytechnics.
Yours etc…
