JAMMU, Nov 10: A 73-year-old woman from West Bengal possibly died due to a cardiac arrest at Jammu Tawi Railway Station, police said today.
Poorvi Dutta wife of Rajinder Chander Dutta of West Bengal was found unconscious at Jammu Tawi Railway Station around 9:30 pm on Thursday, they said.
“She was taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared her as dead on arrival,” police said.
After conducting the post-mortem at the hospital, the body of the deceased woman has been handed over to her legal heirs while as a inquest proceedings have been initiated to ascertain the actual cause of the death of the woman.
“From preliminary investigation, it seems that the woman has possibly died due to a cardiac arrest. However, the actual cause of the death would be known only after the completion of investigation,” he said.
