Cop caught stealing petrol from bike, attached

MENDHAR, Jan 17:  A Police Constable was attached, after he was caught stealing petrol from a bike in Mendhar market during patrolling last mid night.
Reports said J&K Police Constable Tasaduq Hussain, posted at Mendhar Police Station, along with his colleague was on night patrol. He noticed the bike of tailor master Mohd Zameel parked in the market near his shop. The tailor used to work during night hours in a rented room   above his shop. At around 12 midnight, he noticed two cops doing some mischief with his bike.
He saw that one cop was taking out petrol from his bike by using a pipe and holding one liter bottle in hand. The Master along with his two three boys caught the cops red handed and raised alarm. They then contacted Police Station. Thana Munshi and officer on duty also reached there and they took the cops to the police Station.
In the morning, the Beopar Mandal members took serious note of the issue and started gathering to launch protest   demonstration. SHO Mendhar Bishnesh Kumar reached there and assured action against the cop. However, the cop was simply attached to DPL with the intervention of SP Poonch. No FIR was registered in this connection against cop.  The tailor alleged that it was second consecutive day of  theft. Last night also, his bike’s petrol tanki was emptied  apparently by the same cop.
