JAMMU, Nov 14: Grand finale of ‘Duggar Virsa’ was held here today at Jammu Club in collaboration between SKKRDA Event India, Chakharia Foundation, and Sahityik Udaan.
Programmes from enchanting singing to dynamic rapping, graceful dancing, compelling writing and uproarious comedy were staged by candidates from various age groups.
Presented by charismatic Sonu Taneja, produced by Manjeet Singh Azaad and organized by Tania Jamwal, the event showcased Jammu’s hidden treasures.
The chief guests for the evening were Sham Lal Sharma, Senior BJP leader and Former Minister and Suhail Kazmi while special guests were Jamaluddin, Meenu Mahajan, Shakufta Fatima, Abhijeet Singh Jasrotia and Khushi (MD VLCC).
Speaking on the occasion Sham Lal Sharma brought to forefront the crucial role that individuals must play in preserving Dogri language.
He emphasized on overcoming hesitations in speaking Dogri particularly while engaging with children at home.
Sharma also said that Dogri needs to be promoted by organizing cultural events and literary festivals.
