Rlys Minister visits Delhi Stn to see Chhath arrangements

JAMMU, Nov 16: Union Minister of Railways, Communications and Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw visited New Delhi railway station today to see the Chhath arrangements made by the Railways. Shobhan Chaudhuri, General Manager Northern Railway, Sukhwinder Singh, DRM Delhi Division and other senior officers of Railways were also present on the occasion.
Vaishnaw interacted with passengers on train as well as passenger standing at platform and inspected all the arrangements made at passenger holding area as well as booking counter and security arrangements.
He also visited the mini control set up at platform no 16. He inspected the arrangements and conveyed that all-out effort should be made to ensure maximum comfort to the travelling public. He also emphasized that same efforts should also be done for the passenger travelling in the reverse direction.
The Indian Railways is running festival trains for the convenience of passengers. The passengers from Delhi area will now reach their home in time and can celebrate Chhath festival with their family members. Also they can join their family for famous Nahay Khay and Kharna celebrated during Chhath festival.
