JAMMU, Nov 16: A 25-year-old man died, while two other individuals suffered injuries in separate road accidents in Jammu District today.
Sandeep Kumar (25), son of Satpal of Gharota, and Raj Kumari (55), whose husband’s name and residential details were not known till the press time, sustained injuries when a bike driven by Sandeep was hit by an unknown vehicle at Vigilance Rotary Chowk, Jammu, police said.
“They were taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared Sandeep Kumar dead on arrival. The injured woman is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital,” they said.
While the body of the deceased has been shifted to the hospital’s mortuary for a post-mortem examination a case FIR number 65/2023 under Sections 279, 337, and 304(a) of the IPC has been registered at Police Station Bus Stand for further investigation.
Meanwhile, one Kalidass (72), son of late Haveli Dass of Doordarshan Lane, Talli Morh, Janipur, suffered injuries when he was hit by a rashly driven car at Talli Morh, Janipur.
The injured has been shifted to Government Medical College Jammu for treatment and police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law at Police Station Janipur besides initiating further investigation into the matter.
